It also doesn't come with a camera to look around corners. It's still a good value for those whose home or office has a lot of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save some money. It's also very quiet and operates while you're at work or at school. It lacks the edge-to-edge bare floor vacuuming available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on for long and don't deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 comes with a self-emptying cradle however. It's also the only robotic vacuum or mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our tests. This is due to a mix of modern sensors, including a restructured light system, camera and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can fully self-refill and empty its base station, and it boasts industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads. As with other iRobot models as well, the X40 is user-friendly, offering a simple mobile app interface and integration with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant. The only issue is that it's still quite an eerily noisy device, which can be a problem if you run it in the morning before work, or at night when you try to sleep. It's also a bit costly but not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally capable and better looking. If you're willing to put up some more volume and some extra cost, this is a very powerful two-in-one that will satisfy most people. 4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with many advanced features to help you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaner, similar to Ecovacs top-of-the-line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically emptys the vacuum's bin and refills the water tank, and cleans and drys the mop pads. The smart robot makes use of LIDAR and structured lighting to map out floorplans and identify obstacles. It can navigate more efficiently than its top competitors.
